Tanegashima Samurai - The Crimson Sentinel
After the deafening roar of a black-powder volley, the battlefield is plunged into a blinding, choking fog of white smoke. It is in this deadly haze that "The Crimson Sentinel" goes to work. This highly detailed miniature captures a veteran gunner advancing cautiously through the aftermath of a firing line. With his heavy tanegashima matchlock lowered but firmly gripped, he sweeps the perimeter, his eyes sharply tracking any movement in the mist.
He wears a distinctive, thick crimson cowl wrapped tightly around his neck, protecting his face from lingering, burning embers and the acrid sulfur in the air. His vivid green and orange armor plates offer a stunning visual contrast, marking him as a high-ranking marksman or a dedicated unit leader tasked with securing the flank. His posture is tense and coiled; he isn't rushing blindly, but methodically hunting for the enemy's counter-charge.

This Tanegashima Samurai was designed by Forged Path Miniatures and made by Mad Miniatures under license. He comes unpainted and with a separate base as shown in the grey renders. That means some assembly is needed. The base was designed by Monolith Arts.
