Ninja Assassins - The Phantom Strike
In the lethal geometry of shinobi warfare, what you cannot see is far more dangerous than what you can. "The Phantom Strike" captures an elite assassin who has mastered the art of the hidden blade. Standing atop the cracked stone of a breached stronghold, this operative drops into an impossibly low, evasive stance, turning his body sideways to offer the smallest possible target.
His extended left hand commands the enemy’s focus—perhaps feigning a defensive ward, calculating the exact distance to his target, or preparing to cast blinding metsubushi powder. But the true threat lies entirely concealed behind his silhouette. By keeping his straight-bladed ninjato drawn back and hidden from the defender's line of sight, he completely masks the length, angle, and timing of his impending attack. When the enemy inevitably lunges at the exposed forward arm, the ninja will pivot on a razor’s edge, bringing the unseen steel through a devastating, unstoppable arc.
This miniature is a phenomenal addition to any tabletop RPG, perfectly representing a deadly rogue, a shadow-monk, or a syndicate enforcer cornered on a rooftop. For painters, the sharp contrast between the smooth, flowing folds of his dark shinobi shozoku and the rigid, segmented armor plates offers an excellent canvas for edge-highlighting and dramatic, moody shading.
