Ninja Assassins - Whisper of the Void
In the clandestine world of the shinobi, a blade is only drawn when the kill is already guaranteed. "Whisper of the Void" captures a master infiltrator in the tense, breathless moment just before stepping out of the shadows. Standing upon the wooden floorboards of an inner sanctum—perhaps treading over the famed "nightingale floors" designed to chirp at the slightest footfall—this operative remains perfectly still. His left hand is formed into a traditional kuji-in (hand seal). Whether he is centering his breath to entirely mask his presence, silently signaling a hidden strike team, or preparing a psychological misdirection, the intent is unmistakably lethal.
His right hand rests lightly on the hilt of his sheathed blade, his grip entirely relaxed yet ready to execute a blindingly fast draw. The deep, layered folds of his dark hood and garments, paired with the lightweight, noise-dampening armor plates on his shoulders and hips, reflect the ultimate pragmatism of a phantom.
For the tabletop general, this miniature is the quintessential saboteur, rogue, or arcane trickster. The subtle textures of his wrapped forearms and the heavy fabric of his cowl offer painters an incredible opportunity to play with object-source lighting (OSL)—imagine the faint, flickering orange glow of a nearby courtyard lantern casting shadows across his masked face as he waits for the perfect opening.

This Ninja Assassin was designed by Forged Path Miniatures and made by Mad Miniatures under license. He comes unpainted and with a separate base as shown in the grey renders. That means some assembly is needed. The base was designed by Monolith Arts.
