The Watchtower

Standing tall over cobblestone streets and crooked rooftops, the Watchtower is both a sentinel and a landmark — a place where warnings are sounded, beacons lit, and secrets kept. Designed in the same bold, comic-inspired style as the Red Roof Tavern, it feels like part of the same town, yet it works beautifully as a standalone centrepiece.

With its stone base, timber frame, and shingled blue roof, the Watchtower commands the skyline. The open platform at the top is perfect for miniatures on lookout duty, while the ground-level doorway invites encounters, skirmishes, or dramatic rescues.

And how does it connect to the tavern? Well, every tavern has its stories — and the Watchtower often stars in them. From drunken adventurers daring each other to scale its heights, to guards spying on shady dealings at the Red Roof Tavern’s balcony, the two buildings share more than just architectural style. Together, they create the heart of a bustling fantasy town — a place where heroes arrive, villains plot, and danger always looms.

Whether you’re building a diorama, running RPG encounters, or expanding your tabletop village, the Watchtower adds height, drama, and endless storytelling possibilities.

The Watchtower stands 280 mm high and the base measures 103 mm x 103 mm.

The Watchtower was designed by Iain Lovecraft and made by Mad Miniatures. It comes unpainted.

Originally designed in 28 mm heroic scale (≈ 32 mm). Our 32 mm version offered here reflects the original scale intended by the designer.
