Stone Hut – Shelter of the Hills

Tucked against windswept hills and old stone walls, this sturdy stone hut is a classic dwelling of the Horseheim frontier. Built from heavy river stones and wrapped in thick layers of thatch, it’s the sort of place where a traveller finds warmth, stew, and the glow of a crackling hearth after a long ride.

Every angle of this model shows character: the uneven stonework, the deeply carved timber beams, the sweeping thatched roof and the tall chimney leaning slightly with age. Whether used as a villager’s home, a ranger’s shelter, or a remote outpost cabin, the Stone Hut adds atmosphere and realism to any table.

Designed with fully sculpted details and a removable roof section, it’s perfect for immersive role-play, wargaming scenarios, and diorama builders who want authentic rural charm.

32 mm:
The Hut measures 180 mm x 164 mm and 139 mm in height.

28 mm:
The Hut measures 158 mm x 144 mm and 122 mm in height.

The Stone Hut was designed by David Lann and made by Mad Miniatures. It comes unpainted and needs to be assembled.

The original Horseheim campaign was designed in 28 mm heroic scale, which in practice corresponds more closely to 32 mm true scale. We offer both, the original 32 mm version (as designed by David Lann) and a downscaled true 28 mm version for those who prefer full compatibility with traditional 28 mm tabletop ranges.
