Collection: Nippon Saga 1 and 2

Immerse yourself in the Edo period of Japan, a time of isolation and strict military rule. Nippon Saga was designed for the tabletop games Test of Honour and Blades of Bushido, blending the darkness of this era with the beauty of traditions, architecture, and daily life. Of course miniatures and terrain can be used with any other samurai or oriental game. From serene villages and farmer houses to sacred sanctuaries, this campaign highlights Japan’s cultural and social merits.

The second part of the saga expands the adventure with Matsue Castle, fortified coastal towns, naval vessels, and pirates (Wakou). Together, these elements bring the rich history of Japan to life on your tabletop, blending artistry with immersive storytelling.

The original Nippon Saga campaign was designed in 28 mm heroic scale, which in practice corresponds more closely to 32 mm true scale. Until now, we offered this original version under the 28 mm label — which was incorrect. To make things clearer and give you more flexibility, we now provide both options: the original 32 mm version (as designed by Iain Lovecraft) and a newly downscaled true 28 mm version (in progress) for those who prefer full compatibility with traditional 28 mm tabletop ranges.

This campaign is completed. All terrain and miniatures of part 1 & 2 are now available.
